Cuomo poll ratings move back up

After a slouch in poll ratings during the budget, attributable to controversies like the Safe Act and budget cuts to services for people with developmental disabilities, Governor Cuomo’s poll ratings have moved back up according to a recent Siena College poll.  Now the Governor commands an impressive 64% approval rating.

Governor signs NYSARC bill extending ability to obtain financing through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY)

NYSARC’s ability to obtain financing through DASNY was slated to expire at the end of the current year.  The NYSARC bill signed by the Governor – A.4844 by Weisenberg/S.3800 by Carlucci – extends NYSARC’s authority to 2018.  The new law is Chapter 26 of the Laws of 2014.

NYSARC has been utilizing DASNY financing since the late 1990s.
